All about the Green Angel Syndicate Climate Change EIS Technology Fund

Tackling climate change requires a complete transformation of all sectors of the economy. This is a massive collective challenge but also an enormous opportunity to do things differently. A growing number of early-stage companies are rising to the challenge and developing innovative solutions – and it is our job to identify and support these fast-growing innovators”. - Green Angel Syndicate Investment Director Antoine Pradayrol

Green Angel Syndicate reviews over 800 investment opportunities per annum and whittles them down to between 10 and 12 companies the fund ultimately invests in. These companies are all focused on climate-oriented technologies ranging from renewable energies and carbon capture technologies through to companies developing sustainable materials including plastic alternatives.

Alongside members of the green angel syndicate, investors in this fund will co-invest with the British Business Investment (BBI) arm of the British Business Bank. BBI has committed £10m to deploy into the companies backed by the Climate Change Fund.

Notably, the Climate Change Fund was awarded “Seed VC of the Year” by the UK Business Angels Association in 2023.

How does SyndicateRoom's Access EIS Fund compare?

By comparison, SyndicateRoom's Access EIS fund builds investors a large portfolio of 50+ companies across all sectors, co-investing with experienced angel investors who have an average IRR of 42%. Our model is based on our proprietary analysis of the UK startup market, which showed that on average, the market grows by 28% each year. With large portfolios, and a large network of angels providing access to the best deals, earlier, we aim to replicate that annual growth for our investors while mitigating risk. This data-driven approach aims to work around the limitations of a single fund manager attempting to pick winners.

Our minimum investment is £5,000.
